What we’re about
Solstice Symphony Orchestra is Seattle’s premiere summer festival ensemble, dedicated to artistic excellence, accessibility, and keeping classical music in concert halls year-round. By anchoring our performances in the summer months, we create space for vibrant new collaborations — our cause unites exceptional volunteer musicians from across the region for concerts that energize and inspire. Together, we celebrate the unique joy of live performance and the powerful connection that it brings.
Through our work, we’re not just filling a seasonal gap — we’re fulfilling a real need while creating a lasting tradition. One that invites audiences to explore classical music at an affordable price point, one that cultivates deep mutual appreciation between our community and our musicians, and one that adds a vibrant thread to Seattle’s rich cultural and artistic tapestry every summer.

We are still determining our open seats for Summer 2025. In the meantime, we are happy to get in contact with any talented local musician. If you’re interested in joining Solstice in the future, please fill out this form, and we’ll be in touch.
Please note that we are seeking applicants who are comfortable preparing advanced repertoire at an accelerated pace.
